The Fast and the Furriest

We started taking the Pup out for an evening walk around the neighborhood a few nights a week. She needs the exercise...and well, we need it too ;). Last night a little dog wandered its' way into our yard. We called the owners (no answer) and the address was just a few blocks away so we walked the dog home. No answer at the door, we figured they could be out looking for the dog. We were going to leave but decided to check with the owner's neighbors first.

No answer there either. Just as we were leaving, a car pulled into the driveway and they started thanking us profusely for finding the dog and bringing her back. Apparently they were dog-sitting for the owners and the dog sprinted away!

Talk about being in the right place at the right time! First the dog comes wandering into our yard, then we check the neighbors house when the owner didn't answer the door, then the neighbors (who were out searching for the dog) decided to drive back down their own street before we walked back home.

The lost dog was one of those really fast dogs. At least I think they're really fast - she looked like a miniature greyhound. That was my inspiration for these latest scrapbook pages: The Fast and The Furriest.
